It’s the final event of our year, and a traditional celebration of the true spirit of Christmas.

If you arrive early (but not before 10.30 please) you can enjoy a hot drink in the vestibule.

Then, just before noon, we move into the church itself for the Service, which lasts for

about an hour.  After that it’s only a few short steps into the adjacent hall to socialise

and enjoy some lunch (for which we’ll ask you to pay £7.50 per head on the day).

We’re having to do something a little different this year and have settled on a delivery

from the local chippy (see below) and mince pies.

The Club is meeting all the other costs for the event, and we’ll provide you with our

customary opportunity to make a donation to a selected charity on the way to lunch.

We may be able to help with transport if getting there is difficult.

If you’d like to attend, please leave a message on 01525 876477,

or send an e-mail to honsec@bbldpc.org.uk by Monday 28 November.

We’ll assume you’ll be staying for lunch unless you tell us otherwise, and you’ll need to

choose what you’d like to eat when you book.  On the menu (packaged individually

with your chips) are fish (pensioner’s or normal size);  chicken & mushroom pie;

steak & kidney pie;  or a veggie burger.

Finally, while we can usually rely on the congregation for some joyful singing,

we also need to rely on getting enough volunteers to read each of the lessons.

So, if you’d like me to add your name to the list of readers, please tell me

when you book in (it’s not too terrifying, because you’ll be amongst friends!).
