Waterways Website

You’ll need to arrive in good time at Waterways Experiences, Nash Mills Recreation Centre,

Nash Mills Lane, Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, HP3 9TE.  Access to the site is via a narrow lane

but there is plenty of car parking space at the Boat Base.  The boat is designed to provide good access

for the less mobile, with plenty of turning space for wheelchairs.

The trip, which takes about four hours, is expected to take us southwards along the Canal,

with a few locks in between, returning along the same route in reverse.

The cost of the trip includes a hot lunch (which you should choose from the Booking Form below

so that we can pick all of the lunches up on the way), as well as tea, coffee, or squash.

You can bring your own wine and beer, for which glasses will be available if you let us know in advance.

To book for the trip please contact Bev Chidley by Thursday 30 April 2026

on 01525 752081 or at bev.chidley@ntlworld.com.  When Bev has confirmed your place(s)
you should complete and send your Booking Form as soon as possible thereafter
to reach Penny Scott at the address shown.

There are 35 seats available on the Sheldrake III, and places will be allocated on a
“first come, first served” basis.  Bev will keep a reserve list, and (if appropriate) will try
to arrange a second trip on a different date for those who can’t be accommodated on 2 July.

Sheldrake III will be waiting to cast off at 11.00 on

THURSDAY 2 JULY 2026 at the start of a leisurely trip along the Grand Union Canal
